Winter at Nes Gard
Nes Gard is an excellent base camp for ski tours and summit tours, with varied hiking opportunities in Hurrungane, Jostedalen and Sogndalsdalen.
You can take tours on your own or join our guides. Enjoy good food and drink in a springtime atmosphere at the bottom of the Sognefjord and go skiing at altitude. After the skiing trip, you go down again in the spring and then you can relax with Afterski and maybe a bath in a heated hot tub. We also organize avalanche courses several weekends throughout the winter.
Rab Winter Camp
From March 6-9, we fill a weekend with guided summit tours, avalanche workshops, lectures, good food and wine experiences, après-ski on the pier and other activities. Starting from Nes Gard, we have many great hiking opportunities at all levels.
The camp includes all meals for 3 days, 2 days of guided tours and various workshops, lectures, après-ski on the pier with sauna and stamp, Welcome to Winter Camp with Rab at Nes Gard.

Join an avalanche course at Nes Gard
We organize several avalanche course weekends at Nes Gard throughout the winter. During the weekend, there will be a lot of time for learning and practice in important areas of the avalanche profession. The course is suitable both for those who are fairly new to hiking and for those who have some hiking experience and want to learn more about traveling safely by making good assessments of weather and conditions.
Basecamp Sognefjord 2025
This spring's Basecamp will be from May 15-18! Enjoy good food, great ski tours with guides, après-ski on the pier, wine and fun at Nes Bar and generally a good atmosphere throughout the 4 days.
